Cool & Collected Magazine Winter 2013 Premier Issue
Ever since the internet gained more popularity, magazines have become a dying breed. Toy magazines are no exception. Brian Adams saw a void in the collecting community with the lack of magazines. Brian created sample pages and launched a Kickstarter campaign to gauge interest. The response was overwhelming and Cool & Collected reached it's goal.
Layout : Brian Adams created a very slick and visually pleasing design for the premier issue.
Content : There are 21 different articles contained within the 64 pages. They range from collecting tips, collectible related book reviews, features on toy lines and much more.
Price : $7.99 for the printed magazine and $5.00 for the digital download PDF.
The Verdict : Cool & Collected really delivered with it's first issue. Cool & Collected is different from toy magazines of the past. Whether you are a seasoned collector or new to the hobby, there is something in here for everyone. The PDF format is a great alternative to the traditional magazine and I think it's great that option is available for readers.
