Custom figures I have made for myself or commision over the years:
Brave New Metropolis Superman Custom Figure
I made this figure in 2001 after watching reruns of Superman The Animated Series on Cartoon Network. I love parallel universe stories and this one was among my favorites. The bottom insert portion of the card I created in Photoshop. I made two of these. One for myself and one for commission. This is my favorite Superman episode and felt a figure should have been created for it.
The Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno Custom Figure
The Incredible Hulk TV series came out in 1978 and made Lou Ferrigno forever linked to the emerald monstrosity. Mego made Hulk figures in the 70's and 80's, but avoided likeness rights to save money. Sadly, no one has ever produced an official Lou Ferrigno Hulk figure in all these years. I picked up a resin head a collector sculpted of Lou and tracked down a 1/6 scale muscular body. I used dry brush and wash of different shades of green to show the definition in the muscles. It's nice to finally have a representation of my favorite version of the Hulk.
Lando Calrissian Parker Stevenson Prototype Custom Figure
Kenner planned on making a 12" Lando Calrissian for their large size action figure line. The first prototype was made using a Hardy Boys Parker Stevenson as Frank doll. They just used brown paint for the skin and black paint for the hair and mustache for the initial likeness. The costume Kenner made loosley resembled the one worn by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back.
I used a Parker Stevenson figure, paint and a Lando costume for the 12" Collector Series figure to make this. Since the actual prototype is very pricey and in a private collection, this is the next best thing.

Marvel Star Wars Comic Book Series Valance Custom Figure
I used to love the Star Wars comic book series when I was very young. Issue 16 featured a really cool character: Valance. He was a real bad ass wearing blue armor with a skull emblem and a huge rifle. I think James Cameron must have read this because there is a panel that Valance has his face partially torn exposing a metal skull. After all these years, Hasbro still has not made this character. I decided to make one after digging through my old comics in May of 2010.
Luke Ceremonial Custom Vintage Star Wars Figure
In the mid 90's, I really wanted to add figures to my loose vintage Star Wars collection that I always wanted. I always felt this was one of the nicer costumes Luke wore. The medal I made out of Model Magic and the metal base was purchased from Toy Shop magazine.
Grand Moff Tarkin Custom Vintage Star Wars Figure
I always found it odd that Kenner did not produce a figure of a main villain like Grand Moff Tarkin. They probably thought kids wouldn't want to play with a figure of an old man. A huge omission from the vintage line that should have been made from day one.
Vintage Star Wars Rebel Fleet Trooper Custom Figure
Why Kenner never made these figures in 1978 is beyond me. Kids would have loved to have them battle Stormtroopers!
Vintage Star Wars Darth Vader Unmasked Custom Figure
One of the most anticipated scenes to me as a child was seeing Darth Vader unmasked in Return Of The Jedi. We only got a glimpse of the back of his head in Empire Strikes Back. I made this unmasked vintage style figure with a removable hand.
Hawk From Buck Rogers Custom Figure
Hawk was a main character on the second season of Buck Rogers In The 25th Century. The show was canceled before the season ended and no season 2 figures were made. I made this figure 3 3/4" to fit in with the action figure line by Mego.
Snake Plissken Escape From New York Custom Figure

Snake Plissken is one of my all time favorite characters. I would have killed to have a Snake vs. Ox Baker figure and wrestling ring set with spiked bats as a kid! As a collector, I would love to see a 1/6 scale Snake figure. That never happened, so I made my own. I purchased a resin head I painted and later found pieces to complete it.
Alien Visitor Trooper custom figure from the original V series
There has never been a 12" V trooper, so I decided to make one. I always felt the character had a great look and V is one of my all time favorite shows.
V - Visitor alien in ceremonial robes custom action figure
How no 3 3/4" V figure were made in the 80's, I'll never understand. I did a little sculpting on a Neo-Viper head to achieve the reptilian look of a visitor. For the costume, I based it on visitors from the TV episode "The Champion". There were 3 different visitor judges in the episode. I liked the robed look on the character.
V - Shock Trooper 3 3/4" Custom Figure
I'll never forget the first time I saw the Shock Troopers as a kid. The helmets, black vest and huge laser guns were so damn cool.
I sculpted the helmet ridges with epoxy putty based on a prop helmet.

V - Visitor Trooper In Red Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure
This is the Trooper with red and gold that was first seen in V : The Final Battle. Sci-fi characters don't get much cooler than this.
V - Visitor Trooper In White Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure
This figure is based on the troopers wearing white in the V television series. They were only in a few episodes and thought the silver, white and black color combination worked well.
Captain Action 3 3/4" Custom Action Figure
I made a 3 3/4" figure based on the Captain Action character first introduced by Ideal in 1966. You could purchase superhero
costumes like Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and others to turn him into
the hero you would want. I figured a 3 3/4" figure was due since none
has ever been produced. A comic book was also produced in the 60's on Captain Action and a current version is out now.
Dr. Evil 3 3/4" Custom Action Figure
I couldn't make a Captain Action figure
without making his arch nemesis Dr. Evil. I made an updated version, but had to keep the groovy 60's medallion to
it.

Logan's Run Custom Logan Figure
Logan's run is a sci-fi film that I
always felt needed an action figure line.
This is a 70's style custom figure and
package design I made.

Star Trek 6 Captain Kirk Custom Figure
The Star Trek line from Playmates was all the rage in the 90's. Playmates made numerous Captain Kirk figures. One I always wanted to see was from a part in Star Trek 6. Kirk was on a freezing prison planet wearing fur attire. There was a shape shifter (Martia) that mirrored Kirk's image and fought him. The banter between the two Kirk's was some of the most hilarious dialogue ever written. Shatner's delivery enhanced it ten fold. I made two of these in 1996. One for myself and one as a Christmas gift for a friend.
